The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department educates students in the disciplines of computer science and software engineering and teaches them to apply their education to solve practical problems in a socially responsible way.

US News & World Report and other national publications recognize Cal Poly as having one of the best undergraduate computer science programs in the country.
