Abstract/Summary

This E.P. is a collection of songs written during my time at Cal Poly, spanning from the first months of 2022 all the way up to music written in the winter of 2026. I feel that the songs represent who I am as a songwriter and what I plan to continue doing with music in the future. Each song holds memories, like in “You’re Silly” and “Light House”, or a complete fictional story, as seen in “Brandon.” In some cases, the lyrics blur the line between these two worlds, as heard in the interlude. Although the songs are written by me, I couldn’t have done it without Jake Lee, Fin Geiger, and Max Schrayer, who contributed their musicianship. This past year, I feel that I’ve made real growth on the arrangement and production side of my musical practice. I feel proud of the way the EP turned out even when the process felt random and intuitive; it still ended up being cohesive body of work.
