Abstract/Summary
This project explores how UX design can improve transparency and trust in AIpowered systems through the design of a skincare recommendation experience. I designed and tested a high-fidelity prototype that incorporated explanation layers and user-controlled adjustments to help users better understand how recommendations were generated and how their inputs influenced the results. Through usability testing, I found that clear recommendation reasoning and visible user control improved user trust, understanding, and confidence when interacting with AI-powered systems.
