Abstract/Summary
Habit Pals is a gamified mobile app prototype that helps users reduce skin-picking and nail-biting through positive reinforcement, reflection, and taking care of a virtual pet. Informed by survey results and behavior change research, the design replaces pressure based streak systems with gentle encouragement, small rewards, and calming visuals. The prototype demonstrates how supportive, low pressure UX can promote self-awareness and healthier habits.
