Resolution Contents

Resolves that the Cal Poly Academic Senate unequivocally affirms its support for the rights, safety, and well-being of members of the Cal Poly community who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, or any other identity encompassed within the LGBTQIA+ community; and it further resolves that the Academic Senate supports members of the Cal Poly community who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, or any other identity encompassed within the LGBTQIA+ community and encourages the administration to continue implementing and expanding initiatives that provide education and training on gender inclusivity for all students, faculty, and staff; ensure access to gender-inclusive facilities, including restrooms and housing options; offer resources and support for LGBTQIA+ individuals, including counseling and health services, and uphold the use of chosen names and pronouns in all university systems and communications; and also resolves that this resolution be distributed to the CSU Board of Trustees, the CSU Chancellor, the Chair of the CSU Statewide Academic Senate, Chairs of campus Academic Senates, and the California State Students Association (CSSA).
