Abstract
Victor Hoyos’s Paradise Senior Co-Housing project is located at the proposed neighborhood center in the northwest of town near Billie Road. Co-housing blends independent and communal living, and as such is a means to providing an affordable housing option – as well as a sense of community – for low-income individuals. In Victor’s scheme, three rings of housing units, each combining communal living and dining facilities, surround interconnected courtyards that have been arranged to preserve the natural environment.
