This paper explores the role of leitmotifs in Halo: Combat Evolved and examines how recurring musical themes contribute to narrative development, character representation, and player experience. Through analysis of key themes composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, this study demonstrates how leitmotifs function as dynamic storytelling devices within an interactive medium. This research highlights their importance in shaping the emotional and narrative impact of video game music.
