The City & Regional Planning (CRP) Department promotes sustainable and diverse communities within cultural and human systems. The interdisciplinary professional planning education is based on a learn-by-doing approach, community outreach, and applied research to help communities aspire for better, livable places. Since 1968, the program evolved in the College where the planning laboratory (studio) has been the core of the curriculum. The department is proud of the program's strengths in urban design, transportation, land use and environmental planning, and community sustainability./p>
