Abstract/Summary
The Gateway Decathlon is a global competition where university teams design, build, and operate sustainable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective homes using advanced technologies and materials. Teams create homes with renewable energy, energy-efficient systems, and sustainable materials. The competition evaluates design, energy efficiency, sustainability, and market viability. Currently, teams are working on Deliverable 3, which includes technical documentation, architectural plans, energy simulations, and cost analyses to ensure project feasibility. This deliverable bridges the design and construction phases and sets the foundation for building and operating the homes, helping to advance sustainable building practices and energy-efficient solutions.
