Abstract/Summary

The Karambo Micro-Industrial Complex consists of 3 buildings located approximately 3.5 m above and 50 m away from the Karambo River in the Rubavu District of Western Rwanda. Each building will be constructed of concrete framework, confined masonry walls and steel trusses. The purpose of these buildings will be to serve as a classroom, library, an dd industrial work space to empower the citizens of this village. The purpose of this project was to provide a complete structural design. In this report you will find a description of the project and structural design as well as a complete structural calculation package and structural construction documents.
