Abstract

The case presents Underwood Ranches, a 3rd generation farm founded in 1867, and Huy Fong Foods, a hot sauce producer know for Sriracha. Underwood was wondering if they would go under when they approached Huy Fong, a hot sauce company named after the boat on which its found escaped Vietnam. The result was a sole supplier to an innovative specialty food producer.
