Abstract

Industry leaders have long recognized that Cal Poly's College of Engineering immerses its students in real world project-based learning. With more than 80 state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, a project- and design-based curriculum, and dozens of project-based student clubs, Cal Poly offers a rich learning environment that links theory with practice.

Not only do Cal Poly engineering students engage in team-based capstone projects, but they must develop senior projects as a requirement of graduation. Many of these capstone and senior projects are developed in response to industry sponsors. This book provides a small sampling of student projects completed during the 2007-2008 academic year.
