Abstract
In this session, we will discuss state of the art, smart, central irrigation control, combined with an ecosystem services approach to storm water management, to create an integrated and responsible campus plan for wise stewardship of our shared and intermittent water resources. A next step in the evolution of water harvesting in Mediterranean climates (like much of California) is fog drip collection. Dr. Dan Fernandez will be presenting how other similar climates have enhanced water supplies using this age old water harvesting technique and how this might be applied in California.
