Abstract

A design for a parallel audio amplifier attempts to
improve on existing amplifier topologies by combining a high fidelity linear analog amplifier in parallel with a high efficiency Class-D switching amplifier. A working model demonstrates self-oscillation according to theory but low efficiency results prevent the amplifier from becoming a good alternative in low-power
applications.
