Abstract
This internship and project report includes validation documents required in meeting the quality criteria for secondary-level programs of instruction in agriculture. The documents are concurrently used for the Agriculture Incentive Grant review process at Foothill High School conducted by representatives of the California Department of Education. The internship includes the development of raised planter beds at the Kern High School District Farm. The school farm is shared with numerous high school agriculture programs in the district, including Foothill High School; this project will enable students from other schools in the district to participate in an SAE in production and/ or horticulture. The supporting material includes information to receive state and local funding, outline the goals and objectives of the program, along with an overview of Foothill High School, agriculture program and community.
